10 Basil Recipes from People I Love

I was on a zoom with three famous chefs, Giada De Laurentiis, Alex Guarnaschelli, and Valerie Bertinelli. Yes, this is a true story. You can watch the video here.

I mentioned running out to the garden to grab basil and Alex commented that basil was such a California thing. Its growing season is so short over on the East Coast where she is.

She’s right – it is very California, and I’m OK with it.

Because each season we have basil continuously for about seven months, I wanted to round up 10 of my favorite basil recipes from other cooks/chefs that I love and admire. I have actually had a conversation with each person on this list, and for that I feel like a total bada**.
